SpringWire Event
Kick off the season on the air! SpringWire is your chance to warm up your mic, stretch your signal, and see how far your voice can travel.
Event Dates: April 15th through April 30th
Overview:
The SpringWire event is a two-week on-air SSB activity created to help licensed amateur radio operators test their equipment, evaluate signal performance, and enjoy friendly voice contacts across multiple bands. SpringWire is all about getting on the air, improving your setup, and connecting with other operators across the map.
Operating Guidelines:
- This is a Single Sideband (SSB) voice event only.
- Participants may contact any other station once per day on each authorized band.
- A new day begins at 00:00 UTC.
- Contacts may be made anywhere within the Technician class portion of each band plan.
Suggested Monitoring & Calling Frequencies:
Although any frequency within your privileges may be used, the following SSB frequencies are recommended as general gathering or monitoring points for making contacts:
- 2 Meters SSB – 144.230 MHz
